MARTIN-333 ENGINE

The engine was designed by Louis Chevrolet (as in Chevrolet automobiles) and built in Middle River in1931.  It had 4 cylinders, produced 120hp, and had double-overhead camshafts.  Some were used in the Waco ENF, the Pitcarin autogiro, the Martin Tadpole Clipper, and Doyle Oriole.  After some 600 hours of restoration to nearly the factory original, the engine went on display in the gallery in November 2019.  Around 100 were built.
